Benefit to 4.65 Lac GOG employees and 4.12 Lac pensioners
Ahmedabad, Sunday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel announced to give seventh pay commission on basis of Union Government with a wider interest of State Government employees from August 1, 2016.
As per the matrix fixed in the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission, about 14.60% to 25% raise in salaries will be given to Class-I to Class-IV Government employees-officers as fixed by the pay commission.
As decided by the Union Government to accept the recommendations made by the seventh pay commission from Date 01-01-2016; accepting and implementing these recommendations in Gujarat from August 1, 2016 as well.
As a result of the pro-employee decision made by Mrs. Patel, about 4.65 Lac State Government employees and 4.12 Lac pensioners would be benefitted.
It is worth to notice that, the Union Government is yet to decide after considering about other wages, the State Government will have to review as per the announcement made by the Union Government with consideration of Pay Amendment Committee and Cabinet Sub Committee as well. The detailed announcement of orders regarding this decision will be made by the State Finance Department.
